We are growing Scanfil’s Automation & Integrations team and welcome you to join our global IT organization as an IT Data Engineer to develop global solutions serving the whole Scanfil Group!

The role offers broad exposure to databases, integrations, automation, and analytics, with opportunities to specialize based on your interests and strengths.

This role is well suited for a mid‑level Data Engineer who is ready to take ownership of solutions, contribute to design decisions, and grow into a key technical contributor role.

We are looking for new colleagues from Poland. You can work in our offices, remotely, or a combination of these – whichever suits you best.

You have a hands-on experience working with databases, data analysis, data flow automation, and a strong drive to continuous learning. You should also be curious, proactive, and quickly adaptable to new processes, procedures, and technologies.

If you join us, your primary job functions will be:

·        Design, develop, monitor, and continuously improve data pipelines in our Azure Cloud Platform (ADF & Fabric) and SQL Server environment

·        Own and support integrations between key elements of data infrastructure

·        Monitor performance and optimizing data warehouse provisioning processes

·        Proactively identify and implement improvements of existing data warehouse and reporting solutions

·        Design and implement the management dashboards and reports

·        Collaborate and actively contribute in cross‑functional project teams

To succeed in this position, you should have:

·        Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position

·        Higher education in IT/Technical or equivalent skills

·        Experience and knowledge of SQL (MS SQL and/or Oracle)

·        Experience with data integration & transformation (ADF, Fabric & Spark)

·        Knowledge about Data architectural principles/patterns, i.e Medallion architecture and ability to apply them in real‑world solutions

·        Solid understanding software development process including code quality, testing, and documentation

·        Professional working proficiency in English

·        Ability to communicate effectively with business users and local IT teams in a global environment.

·        Excellent problems solving & analytical skills

Valued Optional Skills / Knowledge

The following skills are not required but will help you grow faster and take on broader responsibility:

·        Experience in the manufacturing business and ERP system knowledge

·        Microsoft Azure certifications or demonstrated ability to design and operate Azure‑based solutions

·        Experience of working in a multicultural, international environment

·        Azure AI Foundry knowledge/experience

A Day in the Life…

You start your day with a cup of coffee and check from our service desk if there are any error notifications related to our integrations or data pipelines from the previous night that would require your immediate attention – as usual, no urgent issues. You can continue your development work on a solution that supports the material-picking process in our factories. You have noticed that to be able to provide the necessary data for the supply chain visualization project, you need to get more detailed information from our Technology Architect. Luckily, our daily team meeting starts remotely in 10 minutes, and you can present your problem immediately there.

During the meeting, you get the necessary information, propose a solution, and you can proceed with the development work. You finalize changes and soon you are ready to create a pull request. After automated testing and deployment, you can notify the end user to test new functionality.

If you are in the office, you have lunch with colleagues from different departments of the company. After lunch is a good time to check what’s ongoing and dive into communication channels when your colleague reaches you through Teams for an urgent support case at one of our European factories. You agree to take it before your next meeting and take responsibility for resolving this issue. With your excellent problem-solving skills, you can find the root cause in no time and report this issue to the responsible local IT department.
